The Yukon has more purchase than a traditional shorter shanked bit. This encourages ideal break at the poll while the shorter shank allows the bit to be more forgiving and encourage lateral movement. The dog bone mouthpiece applies more pressure to the outside of the bars providing more flex and bend than a traditional two-piece snaffle. This 7 Shank is 6 ½” long and has quite a bit of weight behind the mouthpiece, which allows a quick release from the rider’s hands. This is an excellent transition bit out of an o-ring or d-ring.
