  • Joe Beaver Low Port

    Equibrand Joe Beaver Low Port

    2 in stock

Allows the horse to push into the roper's hands, and the length of the shank helps maximize the function of the jerk line. Its port style is specifically shaped to be forgiving to a sensitive horse. Doesn't lock on and hold a horse's mouth like some bits can. Therefore, it is a good bit for kids or a novice roper.

  • Myler: 89-11505 Flat Shank with Medium Wide Low Port MB 05 with Copper Roller

Toklat Myler: 89-11505 Flat Shank with Medium Wide Low Port MB 05 with Copper Roller

    Out of stock

Myler Flat Shank with Low Medium Wide Port MB 05 with Copper Roller, Level 3 The MB05 is one of the mildest Myler mouthpieces in terms of tongue pressure. The generously wide port allows room for the tongue to pass under the bit. However, unlike the solid MB 33, the MB 05 collapses slightly although it does not fully rotate on to the tongue like a Level 1 or Level 2 mouthpiece. This gives the mouthpiece more give and may apply some light tongue pressure although it works primarily off the lips and bars. The port on this mouthpiece is only 1 ¼"" high, so it will apply little to no palate pressure. Because the MB 05 offers such a high degree of tongue relief, the horse that goes well in this mouthpiece has a trustworthy and consistent disposition, and is trained to work off the leg and seat as well as the hands. Notes: For a slight increase in tongue pressure, see the MB 43LP. For similar tongue relief without Independent Side Movement, see the MB 12. For the same tongue relief and Independent Side Movement, but with no collapse, see the MB 33. For more tongue relief, see the MB 16PB. The 7"" Flat Shank is stainless steel and curved slightly back towards the horse, with a flat-top purchase and a rein ring. The mouthpiece has a fixed attachment. The Flat Shank has the patented Independent Swivel Cheek, where the purchase, mouthpiece and shank all move independently of each other. The purchase is slightly angled away from the cheek to avoid rubbing. It has an indirect (curb) rein action designed to be used with a curb strap which attaches to the purchase. The flat shank uses the combination of the fixed cheek and fixed rein to apply pressure to the mouth, chin and poll. Action: Indirect Discipline: Western Degree of Leverage: Moderate

  • Sale -8% Classic Shoulder Holder Low Port

Equibrand Classic Shoulder Holder Low Port

    2 in stock

This is a great bit for elevating a horse's shoulder going into a turn. It aids the rider in holding a horse's shoulder steady, maintaining a more optimal body position around a barrel. Very fair and forgiving, the mouthpiece is set forward on the shank which helps increase lift and lateral movement. This bit also helps to maintain forward motion on horses that anticipate a turn. The Shoulder Holder is also a great tool for retraining man-made habits in aged horses.

  • Myler: 89-11255 Flat Shank with Correctional Low Ported Barrel

Toklat Myler: 89-11255 Flat Shank with Correctional Low Ported Barrel

    2 in stock

Myler Stainless Steel 7" Flat Shank, MB 27PB Correctional Low Ported Barrel, Level 2-3 The MB 27PB is a Myler correctional mouthpiece, which is a ported mouthpiece that collapses on to the outer lip and bars, and rotates onto the tongue. The port, although narrow and somewhat low, allows room for the horse’s tongue to pass under the bit. When the reins are engaged and the mouthpiece rotates onto the tongue, it applies two concentrated points of pressure on the tongue for quick control. Because this port is only 1 ¼" high, it will apply little to no palate pressure. Sweet iron mouthpiece oxidizes and encourages salivation. Independent Side Movement Sweet Iron Mouthpiece Curved mouthpiece Copper Inlay Notes: For more tongue relief, see the MB 41PB. For the same mouthpiece without Independent Side Movement, see the MB 27LP. For a non-correctional version offering more tongue relief, see the MB 43LP. The 7" Flat Shank is stainless steel and curved slightly back towards the horse, with a flat-top purchase and a rein ring. The mouthpiece has a fixed attachment. The Flat Shank has the patented Independent Swivel Cheek, where the purchase, mouthpiece, and shank all move independently of each other. The purchase is slightly angled away from the cheek to avoid rubbing. It has an indirect (curb) rein action designed to be used with a curb strap that attaches to the purchase. The flat shank uses the combination of the fixed cheek and fixed rein to apply pressure to the mouth, chin and poll.

  • Myler 89-20485

    Toklat Myler 89-20485

    1 in stock

Myler Stainless Steel 5" HBT Shank, MB 47PB Correctional Ported Barrel, Level 2-3 The 47PB is a correctional mouthpiece, a ported mouthpiece that collapses onto the outer lip and bars and rotates onto the tongue. The port is narrower than a Level 3 mouthpiece but offers plenty of room for the horse’s tongue to pass under the bit. The angles of the port are rounded, so when the bit collapses and applies two points of pressure on the tongue, the pressure is mild. The port on this mouthpiece is 1 ⅞" high, so it will apply some palate pressure. Sweet Iron mouthpiece oxidizes and encourages salivation. Independent Side Movement Sweet Iron mouthpiece Curved mouthpiece does not pinch lips or bars Copper Inlay Notes: A horse with a thicker tongue or lower palate will feel more palate pressure. This mouthpiece is the correctional version of the MB 43HP and is identical to the MB 47 but with the added benefit of Independent Side Movement. For increased tongue pressure and the same palate pressure, see the MB 27PB or MB 27PB HP. For more tongue relief with the same palate pressure, see the 43HP. For less tongue pressure and little to no palate pressure, see the MB 43LP or MB 43MP. For the same mouthpiece but without Independent Side Movement, see the MB 47. The 5" HBT shank is stainless steel and is slightly curved back, with a flat-top purchase and a rein ring. The mouthpiece has a fixed attachment. The HBT shank has the patented Independent Swivel Cheek, where the purchase, mouthpiece, and shank all move independently of each other. The purchase is slightly angled away from the cheek to avoid rubbing. It has an indirect (curb) rein action designed to be used with a curb strap that attaches to the purchase. The HBT shank uses the combination of the fixed cheek and fixed rein to apply pressure to the mouth, chin, and poll.
