Myler Stainless Steel 7" Flat Shank, MB 27PB Correctional Low Ported Barrel, Level 2-3 The MB 27PB is a Myler correctional mouthpiece, which is a ported mouthpiece that collapses on to the outer lip and bars, and rotates onto the tongue. The port, although narrow and somewhat low, allows room for the horse’s tongue to pass under the bit. When the reins are engaged and the mouthpiece rotates onto the tongue, it applies two concentrated points of pressure on the tongue for quick control. Because this port is only 1 ¼" high, it will apply little to no palate pressure. Sweet iron mouthpiece oxidizes and encourages salivation. Myler Stainless Steel 7" Flat Shank, MB 01 Comfort Snaffle with Narrow Barrel, Level 1 The MB 01 is the Myler alternative to the traditional single-jointed mouthpiece commonly used in snaffle bits. The MB 01 rotates onto the tongue to apply concentrated tongue pressure at the center barrel, but because the mouthpiece is curved, it wraps around the bars and lips instead of pinching. The barrel in the center applies approximately the same pressure on the tongue as a traditional single-jointed mouthpiece. However, the barrel distributes the pressure more kindly and allows for each side of the bit to be used independently. Sweet iron mouthpiece oxidizes and encourages salivation.
