Twisted Wire
Circle Y Of Yoakum Josey Mitchell Side Pull
Increased gag action makes our 0118-2000 Josey-Mitchell Side Pull bit less intimidating while still providing enough leverage to increase shoulder control and balance. The twisted wire dogbone mouthpiece offers additional leverage to the corners of the mouth to provide a light, responsive feel so the rider can reframe and rebalance a horse who tends to lean on the bridle. Three-piece bits are great options for the rider who wants to avoid the potential of the nutcracker effect. Martha Josey is quite the legend within the barrel racing industry through her vast accomplishments and highly sought-after year-round clinics. She is an 11-Time NFR Qualifier in Barrel Racing, 1980 NFR World Champion, WPRA and NBHA Champion, Olympic Gold Medalist Barrel Racer, and World-Renowned Clinician. Martha and her team took their time designing each bit in her line to aid in the development and growth of each one of her students. "These bits have proven themselves, not only in our Josey clinics, schools, and seminars but also in competitions worldwide." - Martha Josey

Professional's Choice EQ 66 Dogbone
The unique design of this bit offers direct contact similar to a ring snaffle with the shoulder elevation of a gag and the collection from a curb strap. This is a great training or transition bit. The gag movement allows the horse to give at the poll before the curb comes into effect. All of these bits should be adjusted to fit with one wrinkle in the horse's mouth and a loose curb strap to allow 2-3 fingers. This mouthpiece is soft on the bars, making this bit good for lateral control and collection. A wonderful choice when transitioning from a D-Ring or O-Ring snaffle.NOTE: This bit will rust when exposed to moisture. This creates a sweet taste in the horses mouth and promotes salivation.
