Brittany originally created it as a competition bit for NFR but uses it primarily as a warm up bit. It helps Brittany to achieve a lot of lateral movement and keeps her horses responsive. A lifesaver is good for a horse that is hard to bit. It achieves bend without being aggressive to the roof of the mouth.
