Equibrand Classic Snaffle D Ring Smooth Snaffle SS
A necessity in any horseman’s toolbox, the D Ring Snaffle has a nice weight, balance, and feel. Its slightly heavier design not only makes it durable, but it takes a deliberate action to cue the horse. When released, the bit returns quickly to a resting state, providing release of pressure and adding consistency to your hands.

Equibrand Classic Tool Box Bit 7.5" Snaffle
The 7-1/2-inch cheek style is next in the lineup. Extremely versatile, this bit can be used for training drills, pleasure riding, or competition. This cheek has a 2-1/2-inch purchase with a 5-inch shank. The shank is swept back, like the 6-inch model, but to a lesser degree, which offers more leverage and control. When properly adjusted, it is still considered a mild cheek, but one with plenty of leverage for control at increased speeds. The Low Port Barrel is a highly universal bit that works well for anything from training to pleasure riding to competition. When engaged, the low port provides tongue relief as slight pressure is applied to the bars of the mouth and to the palate. Each side works independently from the port for increased lateral flexion.

Equibrand Joe Beaver High Port
Allows the horse to push into the roper's hands, and the length of the shank helps maximize the function of the jerk line. Its port style is specifically shaped to be forgiving to a sensitive horse. Doesn't lock on and hold a horse's mouth like some bits can. Therefore, it is a good bit for kids or a novice roper.

Equibrand Rickey Green Sharp Setter
The Rickey Green bit collection was designed for team ropers to train, practice and compete. Rickey Green recommended a firm leather curb strap or flat chain with these bits to allow the horse to feel and work off the bit rather than react to the biting curb. This high-port Sharp Setter encourages rate quickly under speed. The port reaches the top of the mouth and signals flexion at the poll, bringing your horse into your hand. It's preferred on aggressive horses to maintain control.

Equibrand Classic Performance Bit 8" Cavalry Ported
This final cheek in the Tool Box is designed for the finished performance horse or tough-mouthed older horses where more control is needed. It can be used as a schooling bit to get a horse that is not responding to milder bits to collect and break at the poll. It is also often used in competition, and should not be used for daily training. The purchase is 2-1/2-inch and the shank 5-1/2-inch. The Cavalry designed shank is angled back to the horse, but at a straighter angle than the 7-1/2-inch model, causing a quicker, more immediate response. The purchase/shank alignment ratio increases leverage, creating greater realized pressure to all points of contact. The Ported has a stainless steel cheek with an inlaid copper ported mouthpiece. A higher port increases the degree of contact with the palate, while offering tongue relief with its 1-1/2-inch width. This bit is for the finished horse and is a tool for collection.
